I wasn’t exactly a straight A student in high school so when my SAT score and strong extracurricular activities got me into my dream school anyway, I was thrilled, to say the least!

I’ve made a promise to myself to try and make the dean’s list at least once my freshman year, so I’m already clocking in a lot of hours in the library. I also have been looking up study tips through my wireless internet provider that I found through hughesnet deals and been applying them to my own habits.

It’s still really early in the semester so I haven’t seen that extra work reflected in a lot of things. But my economics class has a quiz every Friday morning and I got a 100 on my one from last week! I’m not really math inclined so I was even more excited about it.

I decided to surprise my mom with my great new grade by showing the copy of the graded quiz on my dorm room fridge through Skype. I told her to check out a new addition to our decor and turned my web cam to the fridge. She was so excited and proud! Now I just need to keep up the good grades.
